Being a federal contractor comes with great opportunities. But, learning all of the requirements to stay compliant can be difficult.
And, when changes are made to the requirements, it can be completely overwhelming.
Last year, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) released a new series of sample Affirmative Action Plans on its website. Of particular interest are the samples of the updated Section 503 (IWD) and VEVRAA (Vets) components, which give insight to some of the recent changes.
The sample plans present a view of the OFCCP’s expectations for plans constructed under its revised regulations. It includes new policy text and sample numerical reports that reflect the new record keeping requirements. If you are a federal contractor and have yet to learn about the changes, take a moment to review the new samples and become familiar with what your Affirmative Action Plan needs to be for your business.
